Bible Vs Vampire Vs Being a God

Recently I have stumbled on a site that says vampires were mentioned in the bible, here is the quote I picked up from AC news " When we enter the modern era we have reference of vampires in the Bible. In the year 31 A.D. Jesus was said to have healed five vampires at Capernaum. "

So I followed the link and ended up on a site of a Bible, ESV (English Standard Version). I am not exactly sure how the translation got to this point but we will roll with it for now, I might add I do not condone the use of this particular one as it is not translated they way it should have been, NIV for simpler reading works fine.

So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. " In this version of the bible, this is John 6:53 and John 21:25.
If we were to brake this down the way they did then ok it is Jesus saying it is in fact a necessity to be a "Vampire" to follow him.
Well they took it a little to far in this version. We have seen many new translations of the bible since the King James version, which in my opinion if you understand it, good for you, but for those looking for the simpler version, Please go with the NIV.
I looked farther into this book and found a passage that reads simple enough, Psalms 82:6-7, 6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; 7 nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”

So we now are gods but will die as mortals. I am not sure that this is what this meant, but written out like this anyone can take it and become a self proclaimed god. What a concept.

ME GODDESS SILVER STORM, ME DRINK YOUR BLOOD AND EAT YOU BODY. Yeah, NOT.

And then they wonder why so many people misunderstand the Bible.

Just words for thought.

study more, get knowledge then form an opinion.
