A good Teacher!

Recently I started searching for a college to attend to obtain my Associates Degree in Accounting, I was barraged by a frenzy of phone calls and then came to settle with DeVry.

I had talked to a few people and told them what I was looking to do with my life and the actual destination of where I would end my college career.  No one got it except Katie at DeVry.  She was like talking to a best friend that I hadn't seen in years and gave me a lot of information that I know would help me in the long run.

We talked about my schooling, my boys schooling and then even talked a little about my hometown where she had attended college, I was so happy to have someone listen to me for once that I just opened my whole world to her.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you never in your life, knew where to look to go to school, I would say start here first.  

I believe that if you get one person who you can talk out your dreams and aspirations with that understands the aspect of school, it sets you up for success and Katie, Bless her soul, is the way I started, And DeVry is the way it will end.

Sure Why Not?

So as I sat down to write about the next thing that came to mind, I realize that that my family has suffered as of late because I was in my office most of the day typing, playing games on here, and even going through my hundred emails just to earn money for what exactly I'm not even sure of anymore. I am not a rich person and honestly keeping up with the Jones' is starting to make me really tired.  

I see parents push their kids into sports and stuff like that, why? to keep them busy and out of trouble... that is the answer I get when I ask them. 

OK here is a thought, sit down with your children and start asking questions for example... how was school.. or so have you met any new people .... if they ask you can we go to the Simpson's house I always ask them who are the parents, what time do you think you'll be home and if the mom and dad are going to be home.. upon receiving the answer my next question is always what is the phone number. 

 

Now some parents say you can't do that, aha but yes I can and I will.

My child.. my rules and guess what hey Johnny I love you and this is the way I can call to see if your OK, I know where you are at and if I need to come get you I have an Exact place to go BECAUSE I CARED ENOUGH TO ASK WHERE THEY WERE GOING TO BE.

I might mention that my boys are 13, 16 and 18. I have control of my family, I am really anal retentive when it comes to them and guess what, I told my 18 year old to move out and get a life.

And he did he is finishing High School on his own, he has a job and he is dealing with life as an adult.  Yes I miss him and I do love him but sometimes life is hard and you need to deal with it and I do not protect my kids from life's disappointments except the 16 year old who is autistic.

And trust me that is hard because he is at the age where he wants a girlfriend, but I am not ready to have another girl hanging out around the house yet, and I don't think he is ready to have one.  It would be nice to say to him OK you go out and do what you want BUT you have to be home at 6:00, for those of you that have a developmentally challenged child you know what I am talking about. 

As much as they want those strings cut, you just can't because you know the minute they walk out the door they are open to the freaks that might take advantage of them, not something I want to deal with either.  So as My very opinionated friend brought to my attention not so directly was Wrap him in bubble wrap, put him in the corner and fed him, bathe him and make sure he is dressed and all that good stuff because that is what is happening by "keeping him with you 24/7"  Thank you friend...  the errors of my way have been taken to heart.

After crying because I did not want to let him grow up quite that fast what have I done to him?

well I sheltered him, I didn't allow the trust I have allowed the other 2 and I have put a wedge in my relationship with my husband... OK not sure this worked out the way I had planned.. but what can I do to change this....   I had to let him be who he was and I had to let him experience the world and I HAD to let him have a life, along with my husband and myself, got it, did it, doing it.  Now I ask him Son do you want to go to the Smith's house he looks at me with that look only he has and says... SURE, WHY NOT?..... Be home at 6:00.

Just because someone wrote an article on closing all your account's like facebook....

 

So here's the stichk 

Apparently there IS something Good about being Poor as all hell. LOL

and this is a list of the few good things about being Broke. 

1. You own no cloths that require special care , therefore I do not need to send anything out to be dry cleaned (saving money there LOL IF I had any this would matter to me)

2. I do not have to sort my cloths either, I can get away with using Generic Cold wash Tide detergent (which is really Tide anyhow with out the fancy pkg) so not only saving time but also $$$ (which I don't have anyway LOL)

3. I have no personal account information that any hacker in their right mind would want. 

*allow me to take a moment to thank my x husband for assuring that I would never own anything not even credit cards, thereby making me the safest person on the net. 

LOL For real I can go any where in the net with out worry that my bank account will be found or my credit will be screwed up LOL what bank account ?? What credit ??? Ohhh you mean that 500 thing-y yeah who cares what are they gonna freaking do with my info ? Improve it ??? LOLOLOLOL 

4. No paranoia ...yep I am free from having to worry about closing my facebook account or myspace or any such accounts because Hey I'm Broke. I'm unemployable, I'll never own anything ever again so therefore I have nothing for any one to take. 

5. I don't have to worry about what some non existant future employer might think about how many applications I have and play (which apparently means you waist time) I don't have to worry they won't like the people on my friends list AND most employment agencies already say that because I'm Broke I'm a theft risk and won't hire me anyhow. (THAT is offensive to me but hell no one cares how much I'm offended by anything due to the fact that IN THIS country you must be at least upper middle class in order to fit the demographic as a real human being.) I'm so broke I'm not even as high up as trailer trash LOL I'm not even the stuff a person would find on the curb of a trailer park . 

One article said what if the FBI decides you have inappropriate friends on your list or too many you may become a target for investigation or exclusion in some Gov. job openings ... Drum roll please......brrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuummmmmmmm My Government already dislike's me because I am Half Native American and I'm Broke so they already watch me as a potential subversive so who give's a damn ...LOL

I support Decriminalization and Legalization of Marijuana and Promote HEMP as an alternative to deforestation ...I not only am fairly sure I have an agent assigned to me I probably have my Own satellite I hope it's in a good location somewhere next to the Hubble maybe ??? I like to wave at them (agents) from time to time (it annoy's the freaking hell out of them ) LOL I'm from WI we are friendly people here (of course most of us are drunk too) but hey Smile back we might just mean it LOL

Ok some of this is Obvious Sarcasm but over all Broke is OK and Liberating ! No Gov. Agency Cares what my opinion's are therefore they don't try to take my rights away from me either.

I have no need to keep up with the Smith's or the Jones's I won't die from Stress related heart failure. Or for that matter murder because again I have nothing for anyone to steal.

I DO NOT DATE !!!! (Why Bother I quit Drinking 20 plus years ago and Alcohol was the only thing that made Men tollerable to me) So I won't be going home with any potential Ted Bundy's and guess what folks... I'm still fascinated with life and the natural world. 

I Always find a way to wake up and do it all again and yeah I really hate being unable to work I hate being disabled but I have time for reading, writing, learning photography (which by the way doesn't require $1000.00 worth of equipment or lessons. I actually know how to read so I went to a library and got a book and I had some change from recycled cans and bought a fling disposable camera from Walgreens (I dislike Wal mart) and I will still be able to learn How to take photo's. Imagine that. 

I also know how to Sew and fix (repair) my cloths instead of buying new ones every other week I own 2 pair of shoes and one pair I no longer need so I will donate them to Salvation Army. 

I know how to crochet things like rugs out of plastic bread bags as well as any garbage bags..

I know how to cook from scratch and there fore I do not need to eat out. 

I have friends and relatives that allow me computer time and I have learned how to make many web graphics . 

Life goes on. 

My daughter will be getting married and I will be Happy for her and we will have probably one of the most WOW was that Bride BEAUTIFUL and Happy weddings planned for next to nothing as far as cost's. 

I don't want people walking away from MY daughter's wedding talking about the price of this and that I want people to REMEMBER My Daughter's BEAUTIFUL Smile ! 

I want people to be focused on how Dang Happy she is. 

If the only thing anyone remembers is how much something COST what does That say about us as a people???

Life is what you make from it.

My Child has never had everything handed to her . She had to help work for things she wanted I took care of the needs but there were no frills unless we worked together. Guess what happened? She has never gotten in trouble with the Law , She has never been a teen age mom , she is a Fine Caring Human being who understands Hard work, sacrifice , disappointment, and what Great Joy is. She knows what accomplishment feels like. She knows how to share. She also understands gratitude , Hope , Faith, Unconditional Love of a parent. as well as what it feels like to have one that let's you down and what it takes to forgive them for it.

Life is Just.

After watching all the utter Bull shhh it that goes on in the news and lives of the Rich and famous I am more than Happy, hell I'm tickled pink to be Broke. I wouldn't change a thing. 

yeah I know typos and spelling are all over the place but you know what I don't care. I'm not concerned about the grammer police and besides I'm sure someone will feel the need to let me know just how little I deserve to be alive because I left out a coma or spelled something wrong ...and they will use 4 letter words to do it to. So who cares. I went to college and I Achieved Great grades and still was not allowed to finish. I just wasn't blue blooded enough to matter. LOL and before you all feel it is necessary to remind me that I have no worth. You'll have to get in line so please have a seat and take a number.

BOTTOM LINE if you can't find at least one thing (person) in your life that you are grateful for the presence of and That IF you lost everything tomorrow you would still have a reason to wake up and try again .....You need to re-access your standards and goals.

LIFE is NOT negotiable.

Store's Close and the sun comes up and set's on another day. Can't have a BMW or a Jag.? Guess what there are a lot of quality used cars out there and they will get you from point A to Point B destinations and many will C you through any Gas crunch or economic Slowed to a frickin' Halt time in your life you just need to exercise common sense. 

So let's quit whining about ooooo I have to close my personal pages online ...and OMG what will the neighbors think? you know what ? your neighbor already know's who and What you are based on your actions or reactions to snow, leaves, and doggy doo doo so no matter how great you make your Web page look isn't going to matter one stinking bit.

Fact's of Life 

1. it isn't who you know or who you blow...it's HOW did I treat the mailman/(insert all SERVICE personnel here) as well as HOW did I treat a total stranger today? 

2. Death and Taxes are certain in this life ...one you CAN AND SHOULD BE VOTING ABOUT !!!!! The other you can NOT make enough money to avoid. 

3. Just because you can doesn't mean you should! 

4. Unless you KNOW- you Don't know. 

5. Good decisions take time and careful research. Good Judgment Takes Even MORE !!!! 

6.A Mind is a Beautiful Thing when Open to Anything, and a Terrible thing when Closed. 

7.Love isn't The answer but it sure does Help light the way. 

8. KIND is only 4 letters but like WORK it's Worth doing Well ! 

9. Reguarding Time- the Past is irretrievable Today is fleeting and Tomorrow never comes....so you have 24 hrs to LIVE what are you doing with it?

Explain this Theory

The world today has changed so much form when I was growing up what was then exceptable is no longer and what was not is now.  While I encourage change, I wonder if some of the things might be just a little or excedeingly much.

Take for instance the cars, trucks, ect, I am glad that they now get 40 miles to the gallaon but where did the safety go, when the cars were big and steel we didn't need air bags, why because if we got into an accident chances were we would definetly still be able to walk away with minor injuries and we did not have to wear a seat belt, not saying you shouldn't but we didn't need to.

Also the cars go much faster then they did then. Seltbelts and airbags are now required for those reasons.   I remember 70 mph was cool then and now my kids are thinking 200 mph is.  Yikes!!!

Child discipline, we could fight all about this, but truth is there are more ppl in jail and prison today becasue an old fashioned paddling is no longer "the right" thing to do..... Why?  

because 1 parent went to far and now we have lost total control of our kids THANK YOU moms and dads who thought about this and decided that one thing worked for all kids....THEY DON'T.

my three boys have all been spanked they have all had to deal with the police BECAUSE I CARE enough for them and I know if they go to jail it wan't be because the broke into some place or robbed or murdered or had a DUI it will be something really minor like oops j walking.

I think bring back the paddle and let parents DISCPLINE their kids instead of giving them a 2 minute timeout.

I will not be intimidated by ppl who should not have had kids to begin with or the schools who's payroll is paid by my taxes, I pay them so why do I have to continually worry about if my kid is gonna come home and say " my teacher said you can't spank me!"  Guess what not only is my kid going to get spanked for thinking the teacher is their parent but I am also going to go to school and let the teacher have it for thinking they know what's best for my kid, not gonna happen their way, parenting is not BURGER KING. 

Now I agree that there is a line between discipline and abuse and it is a fine line, the difference is if you leave a mark on a child that bruises that is abuse, if you lock the child in their room and by lock I mean key needed or the child can not open the door all the way, for any reason, that is abuse, not feeding your child anyhthing at all, that is abuse and even neglect.
